The main objective of G.hn Copper Gigabit Access solution is to re-use existing copper infrastructure to extend fiber gigabit services with minimal construction work.

• It avoids the need to install new infrastructure into and around the home, i.e., there is no need to install a new FTTH fiber cable or drill a hole in an external wall to take the fiber into the SFU or install fiber within the MDU hallways and drill holes to each apartment to reach the ONU.

• Re-using the copper infrastructure inside or outside the building provides higher flexibility and reduces the time between receiving and being able to fulfill a customer order.

• It can provide multi-gigabit services for both residential and business customers.

• It allows customer self-install which removes the need for a visit to the customer premises with its attendant cost, time, and logistical downsides.

DP-4224T is an indoor DPU(Distribution Point Unit) of G.hn Copper Gigabit Access solution, it provides 24 * G.hn Wave2 ports (RJ45 connector) to support up to 24 subscribers.
